Strategic Location

Situated along Interstates 80 and 74 in Illinois, Henry County is at the transportation crossroads of the United States. The county is part of the Davenport-Moline-Rock Island Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) - locally called the Quad Cities. Henry County encompasses 823 square miles and is the 29th largest of the 102 counties in the State of Illinois. The area is fairly flat with elevations ranging from less than 650 feet above sea level in the northwest to 850 in the southeast portions of the county. Much of the land is used for agriculture with a total of 456,596 acres of farmland (86.7% of Henry County's land area.)
