What does being in the business of economic development demand from this Partnership? What value can HCEDP add to your world?
As Chairman of this Board I constantly ask two basic questions, "What do the stakeholders in this county need?" and "What do our colleagues need?" At a time when it would be easy to get caught up in the pull of a downward spiral, it is our challenge to make all of our relationships into effective partnerships.
Our organization's success comes through cooperation and communication. The best way to build these essential skills is to understand how to use two simple words: "Yes, and..."
A "Yes, and..." way of thinking helps us build on ideas. It helps us imagine what is possible in a world without barriers or geographic boundaries. It is the basis of a positive, communicative, collaborative and agile organization.
