Illinois Legislators Tour Three Firearm Businesses in Henry County

On October 15, 2013 Rock River Arms, Innovative Machine and Armalite, a matching fund partner with HCEDP in the RJAIC grant, presented information on their products and contracts, the economic impact to their communities and the State of Illinois. They also spoke of their concern with the legislative climate toward gun control laws.  More than 350 people are directly employed by these and other firearm businesses in Henry County.

Representative Don Moffitt, Senator Michael Hastings, Senator Michael Connelly, Senator Darin LaHood, Henry County Board Chairman Tim Wells and HCEDP Chairman Charlie Lotridge had the opportunity to ask questions, observe the state of the art manufacturing facilities and fire a variety of rifle models on an indoor range.

HCEDP is incredibly proud of the firearm companies in our county and are pleased to assist in promoting them and the economic impact that they have in our county and region.
